Happy Friday, friends!
If you’re new to Friday Fun, click here to read the first one before you get started! And you’re already familiar with Friday Fun, welcome back! Here’s a recap of some of our favorite moments from the week: the small little things that may or may not matter, but nonetheless colored and flavored our week.
So, without further adieu, here’s Friday Fun, Edition 2:
— On Monday, we worked all day (and night) from bed with toasted graham lattes from Starbucks in our hands and Nashville playing in the background on Spotify. It was a GOOD and PRODUCTIVE day! Even though our assistants slept on the job.
— When he leaves Amy in the car to run inside to a store, Jordan thinks it’s SO funny (just ask him!) to do this when he comes back in front of the hood. The only thing missing is the English accent. And the poofy pirate shirt. Amy knows its coming at this point. But she laughs just as hard as the first time.
— Our pre-wedding Skype call with tomorrow’s bride and groom just turned into a legit game of Mean Girls trivia… And it wasn’t even October 3rd. Can you say #perfect match?!
— “Aim! I lost an entire bag of sausages! ” — Something Jordan actually yelled to Amy. From the kitchen. To the bedroom. With a straight face. How does that even happen?!
— The weather dropped out of the hundreds in Arizona (finally!) and cooled to the high seventies a few nights, so we took our first outside walk in as long as we can remember! Then we heard a dog barking and a woman shrieking, “Call the police! It’s a bobcat!” and hurried home. Fast. What is it with dangerous animals in our neighborhood?! #desertlife
— William Wallace found a new hiding place and maybe took his cutest Instagram. Ever. Stay tuned.
— We photographed a baby shower in matching navy and burgundy outfits. Now, we didn’t plan to be all matchy-matchy (we usually coordinate better than that!) but we didn’t consult each other and neither was willing to budge, so this happened. Also, Jordan thought he’d entered heaven when we arrived: surrounded by 80 women with buffet food as far as the eye could see. He ate his weight in crepes. And bacon. And charmed ladies of all ages! His perfect day.
— A friend reminded us this week that life’s short and our days on Earth are limited. So we started burning Christmas-scented candles at night. And put an extra scoop of cookie butter in our ice cream cones.
— After a few months of deliberation, we sprung for Hulu’s commercial-free premium subscription. And by sprung for, we mean Jordan just did it, the commercials disappeared, Amy said, “Oh! I like this!” and that was that. At $5 per month more, though, it saves us about five minutes per show, which, if we watch two one-hour shows per night, saves us close to an hour per week. And if you know anything about us, you know we LOVE getting time back from life. TOTALLY worth five bucks!
— Look out Spotify Premium, you’re next!
— We caught up on the latest episode of Shark Tank and still can’t believe we didn’t come up with a way to make millions with a talking elephant medicine dispenser for kids or something as SIMPLE yet profitable as a paint brush cover! Cuban’s still our favorite Shark, but we’re loving Ashton Kutcher’s new millennial touch this season.
— Also, speaking of watching things we love, we stumbled across this two minute video this week of a five year old British boy finding out he’s going to be a big brother. And we could NOT stop smiling. We DARE you to watch it without smiling!! Go ahead, try.
And there you have it! This week’s Friday Fun! Class dismissed. Have a great weekend, friends!
