We love stories. Every couple has one. One of our favorite parts about being wedding photographers is meeting with newly engaged couples for the first time and hearing theirs. The newness of it. The freshness of it. The excitement of it. We can’t get enough of it! But, at the end, our couples always ask, “What about you?” So, we decided to share our story, too. From the high school bleachers to the end of the aisle, here’s our story from “I noticed you” to “I do.”

He grabbed his best pen and uncorked the cap. He paused, closed his eyes, and pressed the tip of the pen against the paper for the first time. I cannot wait for the days ahead, walking step by step with you… He stopped and took a deep breath. I love you with all my heart and every fiber of my being. He wrote two full pages and signed the bottom. With all my love, Jordan. He folded the letter, tucked it neatly into the envelope, and addressed it to Amy with special instructions: Do not open until graduation night. It was only November…
Then, through sniffles, she whispered something into his ear. It was the last line of the letter he wrote that from then on became the tagline of their love and later the motto of their marriage: Love is friendship set on fire.
