They stood on the dance floor. In the middle of the ballroom. Blush dresses. Black tuxedos. Big smiles and tear-filled eyes. Surrounded by a sea of the bride and groom’s family and friends, the maids of honor and best man took turns passing the microphone. One. Then the next. Each sharing personal memories about a love story they witnessed from the front row. Like hours before their first date, when Michael changed shirts multiple times. Because it had to be just right. Or during another early date, when some of Molly’s girlfriends spied on them. And saw something they’d always remember and never forget: Molly. Laughing her genuine Molly laugh. The one they’d come to know, and love. The one that said everything without saying anything at all. He’s the one.
They bonded over the shared struggle of organic chemistry and the mutual disappointment of Arizona football; and, after graduation, they endured years of long distance while Michael finished dental school with late-night phone calls, marathon Skype calls and flights back and forth whenever they could. Always reminding themselves, like they told us the first time we met them in person two years ago, that the temporary would it be worth it for the forever. And they were right. So, so right.
Molly and Michael, thank you, from the bottom of our heart, for giving us the privilege of being the ones to document your last moments as fiancés, and as well as your first minutes as husband and wife. Your sweet smiles and overwhelming kindness were as present on your wedding day as they were when we sat down at the coffee shop two years ago. And a special thank you to Sassy Soirees and Sarah’s Garden for all the intricate planning and delicious details to photograph. This Encanterra Country Club was perfect from start to finish.
We wish you both nothing but the absolute best as your start your newest adventure. Together. Over the next few months, until your in each other’s arms full time, we hope these photos, no matter the physical distance, will place you there.
