This is a really special one for us today, friends, because it taps deep into Jordan’s childhood. He’s known our bride, Amanda, since she was a toddler, when he started playing youth soccer with her brother in elementary school. He spent weekends at her parents’ house, playing backyard baseball with plastic bats and whiffle balls, beating level after level of Super Mario World on the old school Super Nintendo, and, in the summertime, enjoying epic games of Marco Polo in the pool. Amanda and Jordan, in a lot of ways, watched each other grow up. Her family (for a long time) was like family to his. They all did everything together. So, when Amanda contacted us to share the exciting news that she was engaged to the love of her life, we jumped at the chance to see her family again (because it’s been too long) and document her big day (and theirs, too). Doing this engagement session was a full-circle moment for us in so many ways, and we know the wedding will be just as special.
And can we take a minute just to recognize Amanda and Chris’s outfits? We love. Amanda and Chris, we loved, loved, loved (did we mention we loved?) every second of our time with you. You are both just the sweetest together and we truly cannot wait for your wedding next month. Here are a few of our favorite highlights from our time with you last weekend (it was hard to choose there were so many!). And here’s to two people who are beautiful inside, outside, and every way one can be. We love you both. Let the countdown to February begin…
If you loved Amanda & Chris’s outfits from this session, you might also love Lauren’s red Kate Spade dress or Allie’s glittery dress from Rent the Runway — because, really, who doesn’t love glitter?!
