The first time we photographed The Laverys, Ella (now three) had just turned one. Wow! How time flies! Darin, Anna, Ella (3), and Cara (almost 1) live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but come to The Valley every year to visit their desert-dwelling family members. They’re sweet, kind, loving, easy-going people. They do the Midwest proud. We just wish they lived in Arizona so we could see more of them! It’s so fun to see how much Ella has grown. She is a whole new bundle of personality, energy and enthusiasm, but she still has those big blue eyes that melt your heart. Cara is right around the age that Ella was the last time we got to spend a day with this family, and she’s just as sweet and beautiful as her big sister. We had so much fun capturing their sweet, joyful, free spirits.
We had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with them last weekend at a fun railroad park in Scottsdale to capture this precious time in their family’s history. We just love how their playful, loving personalities come through in these images, and we were so happy to freeze this moment in their lives so they can hang on to it long after the girls are too old for carousels and snuggles. We all know how fast it goes. Darin and Anna, even though you live thousands of miles away, thank you for letting us be part of your family every time you visit. Here’s a little sneak peek of our time together…
