Oh, where do we begin with these two?! From the moment we met with them for coffee one year ago to talk about their Blackstone Country Club wedding, we knew their big day would be the perfect way to kick off our new season — and it was. Charles is an Army officer who’s served multiple tours overseas and is highly decorated and respected. You’d only know that from his uniform, though, because he’s so humble about the sacrificial service to his country. We are so thankful for him, and the men and women just like him. Then there’s Lindsey, the joyful journalist. She’s covered some of the biggest stories in her market (including the Pope’s visit) and always has a big, bright smile on her face. Her wedding day was no different. Despite a rain-filled forecast in the week leading up to Saturday, she was joyful and optimistic (two of her hallmarks); and even when tents had to be ordered for the ceremony and reception, and sporadic microbursts DUMPED RAIN on all of us, she stayed so positive. We tell people all the time that wedding days rise and fall on the attitude of the woman in the white dress. In the face of curveballs, friends, this wedding was one of our happiest yet.

Lindsey and Charles, we love you both so much. Thank you for being something we’ve looked forward to for months and months. It was everything we’d hoped for… and more. You two are more special than you give yourselves credit for, because you have more goodness in you than most will ever know. Enjoy your time on the basking on the warm beaches of that island far, far away. If anyone deserves it, it’s you. Here are just a few of our favorite highlights.
