The first time we met with Kelly and Nate, we got really excited. For a lot of reasons. First, Kelly told us about her vision for a blush Omni Montelucia wedding in Paradise Valley, Arizona — one of our favorite color palettes at one of our favorite wedding venues. Second, we found out that their wedding planner was Samantha from Imoni Events, which upped their cool factor in our eyes for good, because Samantha is one of our all-time favorites. Third, Jordan got really excited (specifically), because he and Nate shared a common childhood passion that they’ve continued into adulthood: a love for the Dallas Cowboys. Incidentally, as we found out at the reception during one of the most epic best man toasts in the history of weddings, Nate and Jordan also spent their childhoods getting into mischief with their brothers. We’ll save those stories for another blog post. Or maybe never. Boys will be boys, right?
Truly, though, this was the third wedding of our first triple-header weekend, and we couldn’t have asked for a more incredible couple for the grand finale. Kelly and Nate, you love cats. That was our first clue that you were awesome. But, after walking through this wedding planning process together over the past year, we’ve gotten to know you so much more — and we’re honored to call you friends. You’re both so kind and generous, and madly in love with each other. Watching Nate tear up get bugs in his eyes during the first look was one of the sweetest moments of the day. It was like everything that you are as individuals collided with everything you are together in one ethereal moment. Thank you for trusting us to be the ones to capture it. We wouldn’t have rather been anywhere else in the whole wide world. Speaking of Planet Earth, we know that you’re on a remote island somewhere in the South Pacific, but we hope you get WiFi long enough to check out these highlights from your big day. We love you both. To Bali and back.
