There is something so magical about the desert. The way the sun seems to glow just right during golden hour. The way the open space surrounds our couples, while giving a sense of freedom that’s hard to describe. At every #AJWorkshop, we get the incredible opportunity to partner with a local wedding designer and in May, we partnered with the amazing Stephanie Antoinette! You may remember Stephanie as the designer of Ashley & Scott’s El Chorro gorgeous wedding this spring!
And let us just tell you, these desert shots may be some of our all-time favorites! We’ve been waiting to share some of our favorite images with you from this ruby and blush styled shoot, but we had to wait until they were featured on Aisle Society and Hey Wedding Lady!
The first half of the styled shoot was set in the Clayton on the Park (our favorite spot for the #AJworkshop). The rustic furniture and ruby details set the perfect backdrop for our bride’s first gown, thanks to the amazing team at Destiny’s Bride! The bright florals paired perfectly with the blush and white cake designed by Ruze Cake House. Then, our bride put on dress number two and we were headed to the desert to capture that golden hour gorgeousness like we mentioned before. And as we touch down in Phoenix after two weeks exploring Europe, we’re reminded of just how lucky we are for the view out our front door. None of this would have been possible without the talent of Stephanie Antoinette! Stephanie is one of the hardest workers, has such a great vision for events and weddings, and we are just so thankful she joined us for this workshop!
And to our amazing models, Naomi and Ross, thank you for allowing eighteen photographers to direct you and pose you! It’s not an easy task! You guys are such troopers. At each of our workshops, it’s important to us to find a husband and wife to model for us. We want to be able to gift them with a set of anniversary photos of sorts, and to remember that feeling of what it was like to say their vows years ago.
