Happy Friday, friends!

Here’s a recap of some of our favorite moments from the week: the small little things that may or may not matter, but nonetheless colored and flavored our week:
— For Valentine’s Day, Jordan took Amy to the ballet. For three hours. He didn’t know what he was signing up for. Needless to say, Jordan put some serious husband points on the board, and Amy loved every minute of it.
— We made heart-shaped pizzas at Jordan’s parents’ house that night, too. It’s a family tradition. And when we say we “made” them, what we mean is that we “ate” them. Because we all know Amy doesn’t cook.
— We’re our mothers’ children, which means we both love a good deal. Hence, instead of staying at a Disney World hotel, we booked an unknown three-star deal though Hotwire.com — and landed at the Extended Stay America for $59 per night. And then felt jealous of all the little kids. Who were staying with Mickey. Until we realized saving on the hotel meant we could be guilt-free about indulging in lots of sweet frozen treats.
— We also drove to THREE different Extended Stays (in the middle of the night) before landing on the right one. Who knew there were so many Extended Stay Americas in Orlando? Siri fail.
— Speaking of driving, we changed Siri to a British-accented man. Now, everywhere we go, he sounds so proper. Even when he says things like “Extended Stay America.” Best. Decision. Ever.
— We did Magic Kingdom one day and the other three Disney Parks in twelve hours the next. By power walking. And strategically timing our Fastpasses. #hustle
— One of the highlights of our trip was when were standing in a realllllly long line for The Tower of Terror, that looked like it was going to go on and on forever, when a sweet mom walked up to us and just handed us her Fastpass. Which is like pure Disney-gold.
— And that’s maybe one of the best things about Disney World. The entire outside world just stops mattering, and all you’re focused on is your Fastpass strategy and when the next show starts.
— We treat each other like children at Disney World. Amy’s in charge of navigating the parks, since Jordan’s a wanderer. He probably needs one of those leashes. You know the ones.
— Jordan’s in charge of the money, so Amy gets this reminder all day: You get one treat today. Are you SURE this is what you want? She loves that, as you can imagine. And then she reminds him that we stayed at Extended Stay America for a reason.
— We sang this while we were packing. And on the plane. And at our hotel. And while driving. And in the parks. It just felt appropriate. We have our own parts and everything.
— We successfully Demos Sandwiched two of our favorite Disney characters: Russell and Dug from Up. It’s one of the only movies that can have Amy in tears before the first ten minutes is even over and a big-time favorite.
