Happy Friday, friends!

If you’re new to Friday Fun, click here to read the first one before you get started! And if you’re already familiar with Friday Fun, welcome back! Here’s a recap of some of our favorite moments from the week: the small little things that may or may not matter, but nonetheless colored and flavored our week:

— Jordan’s big, fat, Greek family tried out for Family Feud last weekend. We didn’t go, but if The Demos Family gets chosen and the categories are Ways to Cook a Lamb and Strategies to Interrupt People at Dinner, we win. For the record, there’s only one answer to each: “roasting” and “just talk louder until everyone listens.” Opa!

Carlos the Elf is back! Well… he never really left. Confession time: our Christmas decorations are still up. Every single one of them. Anyone else? We planned to take them down the first week of January. Which has turned into us making a new plan. To take them down NEXT WEEK. Until then, though, Carlos is still lurking somewhere new every morning when Amy wakes up…

— As a follow-up to last week, Jordan’s feeling a little insecure about his “Dad Bod” so he’s been walking on the treadmill for an hour every night. Right around the time Amy says, “Hey, can you write tomorrow’s…” Convenient. All too convenient.

— We walked out. On Idina Menzel. You know, the Tony-Winning Broadway sensation who played Elphaba in Wicked. The voice behind Frozen‘s “Let It Go.” Yeah, that Idina Menzel. We’re embarrassed to even admit it. So what happened? Ugh. We’re still sad about it. We upgraded our nosebleed balcony tickets at the theater for orchestra seats (orchestra seats!) to see her perform in If/Then. But, you guys, the show just wasn’t good. In fact, it was really bad. The plot was about as thick as aluminum foil (which might be generous) and Idina — the shining star of singing, of crying out loud! — didn’t sing that much. Every time she had a chance, she was AMAZING, of course, but it was like watching a boxer fight with one hand tied behind his back. You know he could do more, but his hands are… well, you get it. We felt disappointed we didn’t like it — and a little embarrassed that we left at intermission — but you can’t win ’em all, right? It doesn’t change how much we LOVE Idina though. We’ll always be Idina fan-girls (both of us) through and through.

— Our friends, Chris and Monica, launched their new church and we got to be there in the front row to support them. Our favorite part? The motto. You are loved. You belong. Love. It. If you’ve been following the blog for a while, you know what an impact he’s made on us. And now we’re so excited to watch him share it with others.

— We did an interview about going full-time in your photography business for Turn It Up, an online conference that’s happening at the end of this month. You can sign up by clicking here! The best part? It’s FREE! We’re so excited to have a chance to give back!

— We finally watched the first two episodes of the final season of Downton Abbey! Our initial thoughts? The stuff with Lady Edith and the baby is getting weird. The fashion is getting better. And the only thing that makes us more excited than a Mr. Caron-and-Mrs. Hughes wedding is a baby. But not just any baby. A Bates-and-Anna baby. Hopefully it looks like is like Anna in every way. Regardless, we spend most of every episode pointing and saying “We’ve been there!” See our visit to Downtown Abbey here.

— Jordan booked a lot of flights this week. Like A LOT. And kinda sorta really enjoyed it. He’s weird like that. Organization and planning are his jam.

— If you like home decor, we started following a few new accounts on Instagram that we love: @luxury_listings, @inspire_me_home_decor, @the_real_houses_of_ig, @beckiowens, and @shabbyhomes. It’s like Pinterest-style home inspiration in Instagram. The houses are out-of-this-world amazing, and we’re loving it! Do you have any favorites that you follow? Share your secrets!

— Quick Hits: We did a coaching session for an amazing husband-and-wife team in town who took the AJ Workshop one year ago and are KILLING IT now; we Skyped with another awesome couple to plan their (we can’t even believe were typing this!)  vow renewal in ITALY this summer; and we had lunch, cocktails, and dinner (not at the same time) with some dear local industry friends.

— It’s a double-header wedding weekend and Amy’s a bridesmaid for one of her best friends in Round 1. See their surprise proposal in the woods hereIt might seem overwhelming to pull double-duty, but considering the last time we did this we were both in the bridal party, we feel pretty confident that we’ve got this one covered. This weekend is going to be packed, but we are so excited. Let’s do this!

And there you have it! This week’s Friday Fun! Class dismissed. Have a great weekend, friends!
