Her parents watched from the beachside balcony. His parents did, too. As Rachel and Max walked hand-in-hand along the winding sidewalk that separated the house from the sand. The slightly overcast skies looked on. The wind whispered, “It’s time.” Max stopped Rachel on the path, held Rachel’s hand with his and reached into his pocket for the other. Up above, their parents, smiling, overjoyed, recorded it all. Each second. Every minute. The whole moment. Max kneeled in front of Rachel — and it all became real. His quivering lips and shaking hand said it all before he had to say a thing. But the sparkling diamond on her hand and the happiest, “Yes!” of a lifetime made it official.
Rachel and Max are college sweethearts, who met at The George Washington University in the nation’s capital; and even though their wedding is going to be at the beautiful Silverleaf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, it was really important to them to have pictures where it all began. You wouldn’t know it from these images, but it was misting rain the entire time, too, which turned out to be the best possible shooting conditions, because we were able to shoot tourist-free!
You guys, we had so much fun with you touring around your old stomping grounds. Jordan, the political junkie and enthusiast, especially loved having so much American history everywhere; and, Amy, the all things soft, neutral and light enthusiast, had her heart content, too. We can’t wait for your beautiful wedding next winter with the fabulous Jenni Thye of Imoni Events. In fact, with you two plus her design and decor, we can’t think of a better way to close out our 2017 season! Until then, we hope you love these memories as much as we loved freezing them in time for you.
