When Sandra shared her idea for their engagement session, we couldn’t have been more excited! An elegant gown? Check! One of Arizona’s most treasured venues? Check! A couple head over heels in love?! Check! Check! Check!
We knew we were going to have fun at this session (partly because we all share a deep affection for our cats!) but mostly because these two are just so sweet. When we met for coffee, we were drawn to them right away. The way they talk to each other. The way they laugh together. It’s clear from the moment you meet them that these two are best friends.
As we were getting to know Sandra and Ryan better over coffee, we discovered that Ryan was a surgeon at the world renowned Mayo Clinic here in Scottsdale, and as soon as we found that out, we began peppering the poor guy with so many questions, based on all of our expertise from years of watching Grey’s Anatomy, obviously. He humored us completely, and even did it with a smile. It goes without saying that these two are extremely busy, so we were afraid we weren’t going to be able to find a time before their wedding to make an engagement session happen, but somehow, all the stars aligned, and we found a day that worked for all four os us! And we are SO glad we did.
Sandra and Ryan rocked. their. session. Their laughter was infectious and they were just too adorable for words. Our cheeks were hurting from all the smiling we were doing, and we were on the other side of the camera! The way he made her laugh told us everything we needed to know. We just love these photos because they exude so much joy! The Royal Palms served as the perfect backdrop for Sandra’s elegant look, and can we just talk about that gorgeous navy gown for a minute?! Amy’s face was one big heart-eye emoji.
