He was nervous. And why shouldn’t he be? This was it. The moment they’d both been waiting for.
He’d planned and schemed and was ready to surprise her.
Ready to ask that question.
Ready to spend the rest of his life with her.
And as Erik knelt in front of Lindsay and asked if she would do him the honor of being his wife, she had no idea that a group of the people she loved most in the world were waiting for that answer, too. He slipped the ring on her finger, and the newly engaged pair headed out to one of their favorite restaurants to celebrate, and that was the end of the surprise. Or so she thought…
String lights danced in the evening sky and the sounds of laughter illuminated the air. Erik and Lindsay walked to their favorite spot, but it wasn’t long before Lindsay lost her breath. She froze in surprise. Because they weren’t alone. In fact, Erik had something else up his sleeve. What she saw was the smiling faces of her dearest friends and family. And her heart just melted. They were greeted with warm hugs and celebratory joy as the two enjoyed their perfect ending to a perfect day surrounded by everyone most important to them in this world.
How cute are these two?! We absolutely LOVED our time with Lindsay and Erik! When they told us about their idea to shoot the engagement session at the restaurant where Erik had planned their surprise engagement party, we couldn’t have been more excited. We love when engagement photos are personal and meaningful, and we also love shooting in new places, so this one was pretty much a double treat for us! Especially since Lindsay and Erik are so sweet, so kind, and so photogenic! We had a total blast exploring a mission-inspired mercado and the restaurant that was so special to them, and our time together just got us even more excited for their El Chorro Wedding with the fabulous Imoni Events that’s coming up in just a few months! Eek! We can’t wait! But until then, here are a few of our favorites!
