They met in college. In the days of newfound freedom and dorm life, in the days of late nights and early mornings. They were just friends.
Andrea was a nursing student, and Cody was an athlete. He always had his eye on her, but when Andrea left their school in Washington to pursue a prestigious nursing program in Arizona, it just seemed like fate had other plans for them. Because as soon as he graduated, his baseball career took him to the very place where she was. Took him right to the heart of the desert. Took him right back to her. And before they knew it, they had picked up right where they left off. They fell hard and fast for each other, and even though Cody’s travel schedule with the Atlanta Braves was going to be tough, they committed to doing life together on opposite ends of the country. Their love was magnetic. They were best friends, and there was nothing, not even thousands of miles, that could separate them.
They relished the time they had together, and made every effort to see each other as often as they could. On New Years, Cody brought Andrea on a family vacation to the beach, and as the two strolled hand-in-hand along the shore line, he pause as he spotted something in the distance. He pointed it out her, suggesting he might’ve seen some dolphins, but when she turned around what she saw was his parents and her parents holding a homemade sign: Will you marry me?
Andrea and Cody are such sweet, kind, genuine people that you can’t help but fall in love with the moment you meet them. We’d been counting down the days until they could travel from their home state of Washington to Arizona for their engagement session, but our time together went so fast because we spent the entire session talking and laughing, just like we were with old friends. The way these two love each other is simply beautiful, and it is such an honor that they trusted us to tell their love story. Andrea and Cody, we absolutely loved every second we had with you two! Our only regret is that November is so far away! We are so excited for your wedding, but until then, here are a few of our favorites from our time together!
