Being together. That’s what Melanie and Clide love to do. It’s what they do best. Whether they’re watching a weekend football game, hiking and wine tasting in Sedona, or spending a weekend at their favorite resort (The Sanctuary) escaping from the busyness of life, they’re together. They’re best friends. So, when Clide suggested a weekend getaway at their favorite staycation to celebrate a friend’s birthday, Melanie didn’t suspect a thing.
Until she walked into the hotel room. And there were rose petals. Scattered. Everywhere. Melanie couldn’t believe that Clide had splurged for such special treatment for just a weekend together with friends, until she turned around and saw Clide down on one knee. The first decision she made? She said “YES!” The first decision they made? Get married right where they were standing, at the hotel where they’d spent so much time just being together, just being them.
